KS3 Assessment
At Key Stage 3, pupils are given a minimum GCSE target end grade (TEG) based on their KS2 SATs scores and additional CAT4 testing.
From this we generate a 'flight path' of the grades we expect each pupil to have reached, in each subject, by the ed of each academic year.
Teachers use their knowledge of pupils progress and performance in class, and homework, in their formative assessments (Learning Challenge) and their summative assessments (Learning Consolidation) to provide a Predicted End Grade for that year at each assessment point.
This allows pupils to understand what they are doing well and what areas they need to improve on. Teachers will also use this information to plan their ongoing teaching and support.
A termly grade is reported to parents along with at least one Parents' Evening for each year group.
